Approaching this extraordinary beach circa La Push, Washington after hiking several miles through the dense forest, I didn\u2019t know what to expect. Having scouted this area for many years, knowing all too well from ever-increasing experience that timing is everything, though yet unaware a magnificent show was about to unfold before me, I walked the shores prospecting for an angle that would line up my vision of an image perspective drawn out many times before in my mind.<\/h5>\n
The keyhole in the distant rocks was going to be my focus and everything seemed to be coming together in promising fashion while observing how the pattern of the waves intercepted each other as they\u00a0followed the curve of the beach. It was the harmony of these wave formations that seemed to beg relevance or even dominance as a key element of the shot, but as I watched the horizon begin to fill with an intense glow, the potential of an imminent dramatic sunset waxed to the fore.<\/h5>\n
Moments later, pressing the shutter on this exceptional scene again melded me with nature as I gasped in awe toward the sacred light illuminating the space through this aqueous cathedral window.<\/h5>\n
Witnessing, and experiencing moments like this, capturing, developing and disseminating their reflection is what I live for. Photography is all about capturing an image-inspired mood, a feeling that often transcends mere verbal description.<\/h5>\n
