One of the most incredible and peaceful drives in the States is Highway 1 down to Key West. The brilliant deep blue waters that line the roadside as one drives are truly breathtaking. I lost count of all the stops I made for several days, searching for the proverbial untouched, deserted beach with classic white sands and crystal-clear waters…the perfect spot.
Upon finally finding this Key, the sun was high in the midday sky, and puffy white clouds gathered on the horizon while the turquoise water shaped the shore. The unbroken azure skies, the pristine white sands, and the crystal transparency of the Atlantic united in a stunning portrait of paradise. This shot is all about color, and the contrast of the pristine cay against the water with its dazzling array of blue gradation provided the perfect capture.
